ABOUT KUTUMBAKAM FOUNDATION
Kutumbakam draws from 'Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam' a Sanskrit phrase that translates to "the world is one family." It is a concept from ancient Indian philosophy and emphasizes the fundamental unity of humanity and the interconnectedness of all living beings in harmony and cooperation.
Just as family members support and care for each other, the concept encourages us to extend this sense of kinship and compassion to all beings on Earth. It urges us to recognize the shared values, needs, and aspirations that unite us and treat one another with love, respect, and empathy.
Kutumbakam is a timeless concept that holds the potential to shape a more compassionate, inclusive, and equitable world, where the well-being of all living beings is valued and protected.
The founders of Kutumbakam Foundation Kiran Telkar, Yamini Telkar, and Yashashri Shildhankar are all fine artists. Through the lens of aesthetics, they want to serve and make a difference in the lives of children, specifically in rural areas.
